ChatMail Terms of Service
Effective November 2, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and LAGR, Inc., a New York corporation ("we", "us"), which operates ChatMail. By using ChatMail you agree to them. If you use ChatMail for a business, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.
1. The service
ChatMail shows your Gmail as conversations and adds tools such as businesses, search, notes and secure conversations. ChatMail is in private beta: features may change, break or be removed, and access is by invitation.
2. Your account
You sign in with a Google account you control, and you must be at least 18. Keep your devices and sign-in methods secure; you are responsible for activity in your account. Tell us at colin@iftech.ai if you think someone else has access.
3. Your content
Your mail and what you put into ChatMail remain yours. You give LAGR, Inc. permission to process it only as needed to run ChatMail for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to send what you send, including files and information in secure conversations.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use ChatMail to: send spam or unsolicited bulk mail; break the law or infringe others' rights; send malware or harmful files; harass, defraud or impersonate anyone; access other users' data or our systems without permission; overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service; or resell it. We may suspend or end access that breaks these rules.
5. Google and other services
ChatMail depends on Google and other providers. Your use of Gmail stays subject to Google's terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes at those providers, or for how recipients' mail systems handle messages you send.
6. Secure conversations
Secure conversations are encrypted at rest, not end-to-end. They end 30 days after the last message or file sent into them unless extended, and their contents are then deleted. Do not use them as your only copy of anything.
7. Fees
ChatMail is free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
8. Ending
You can stop using ChatMail and delete your data at any time from Settings › Account. We may suspend or end your access, with notice where reasonable, if you break these terms or if the law requires it. If we discontinue ChatMail, we will give at least 30 days' notice where we can, so you can save what you need.
9. No warranty
ChatMail is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, LAGR, Inc. disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and does not promise that ChatMail will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that mail will always be delivered.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, LAGR, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business. Its total liability for any claim relating to ChatMail is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for ChatMail in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and hold LAGR, Inc. harmless against claims by others arising from your content or your breach of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and tell you before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use ChatMail after that means you accept the new terms.
14. General
If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about ChatMail. Contact: colin@iftech.ai.
